Do I need a VISA to travel?

Mostly, no. Our country has agreements with most countries in the region, which means that in many cases you do not need a VISA. If you are from a MERCOSUR member country, your DNI (National Identity Document) is sufficient. For other countries, be sure to carry your passport or ID with you at all times.

What currencies are accepted in the country?

In addition to our official currency (Argentine peso), you can use US dollars, reais, Chilean pesos and euros throughout the country. Most tourist destinations also accept debit and credit cards.

Tips for excursions

What is the proper preparation?

Make sure you wear comfortable clothing, a coat depending on the time of year, a hat, sunscreen, and a small backpack for the tours. Don't forget your regular medication and sunglasses.

How many wineries is recommended to visit per day?

To have the best experience, we suggest visiting no more than 3 wineries a day.

What are the lunch and dinner times?

Lunch hours are from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and dinner is from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

What are the outdoor activities?

We offer a variety of activities such as horseback riding, mountaineering, mountain-biking, trekking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and hiking.

What is the best time to visit Mendoza?

The season from September to April, the weather tends to be warm throughout the day. From May to August, the winter season attracts visitors looking to enjoy the snow.

Tipping is not mandatory, but if you decide to do so, 10% to 12% of the total consumed is suggested.
